The Guardians played 7 games this week 3 against the White Sox in Chicago and 4 at home against Tampa Bay at home, it started out good but hit a bump in the road in the middle but ended well.
In the first game, the Guardians won 5-3, Joey Cantillo pitched 6.2 of perfect baseball and ended up with 10Ks the Guardians should have won easily but left too many runners in scoring position and Sandlin giving up a 2-run HR in the 8th made it a save situation lucky we have Clase is the best closer in baseball.
In the 2nd game of the series the Guardians won 5-0, Lively only pitched 2 innings but hit with a line drive and left the game, the rest of the Bullpen took care of the rest. In the final game of the series the Guardians won 6-4 the Guardians took a 5-0 lead but the Sox cut it to 5-4 but the Guardians hung on to win it wasn't pretty but we will take it.
In the 1st game against the Rays, the Guardians lost 5-2 there was a lack of energy from the Guardians, and had zero chance to win.
In the 2nd game of the Series, the Guardians lost 3-1 again of energy and clutch hitting is the reason we lost. In the 3rd game of the series, the Guardians won 6-1 another fine pitching performance by Cantllo and a big 6th inning, and back-to-back HRs in the 8th by Thomas and Ramierz sealed the deal. In the final game of the series, the Guardians won 2-0 since I didn't watch the game I can only comment good pitching since they scored 0 runs.
Overall in the 7 games we got pitching but inconsistent hitting, I don't see that changing, but it has too our bullpen is running on fumes we need to score more runs more consistently, however happy with the we played the 7 games.
