The Guardians had 7 games all at home 4 against the Royals and 3 against the Pirates.
In the first game against the Royals was part of a day-night DH. The Guardians lost 4-3 after leading 2-0, Freeman dropped a popup 2 batters later the Guardians were down 3-2 after a hit and a 3-run HR, the Guardians did tie it up but a Witt JR HR put the Royals ahead to stay lack of clutch hitting and Freeman costs us the game. In the 2nd game of the series, the Guardians lost 9-4 despite leading early 3-0 Allen was terrible and so was the bullpen.
In the 3rd game of the series, the Guardians lost 6-1 a rain delay no hitting, and suddenly the Royals tied us for first place, and things were not looking good. In the final game of the series, the Guardians were down 5-2 and looked dead in the water but an HR by Bo Naylor ignited a huge win putting the Guardians back in 1st place. In the 1st game against the Pirates, the Guardians won 10-8, the Guardians jumped out to a 4-0 lead but a horrible error by Rocchio led to 6 runs by the Pirates, but the Guardians bounced right back and took the lead with HRs by Noel and Gimenez the Guardians hung on to win. In the 2nd game, the Guardians lost 3-0 a wasted good pitching performance by Boyd
In the final game of the series the Guardians won 6-1, Cobb pitched 6 perfect innings, and Manzardo hit his 1st two career HRs Ramierz and Gimenez also HR, but Cobb was unbelievable just coming off the DL.
All in all, it started out really ugly but the Guardians fought back to make it respectful, still not happy with guys like Freeman or Rocchio's bad errors by both costs us games, and did not like the effort against the Royals in the first 3 games, but thanks to Houston the Guardians still have a 3.5 game lead and are in 1st place.
